COLORADO PARENT & CHILD FOUNDATION AWARDED A UNITED WAY EARLY LITERACY SOCIAL INNOVATION FUND GRANT

On Wednesday, February 29th, Governor Hickenlooper, Lt. Governor Garcia, and Mile High United Way CEO Christine Benero held a press conference at the State Capitol to unveil Colorado Reads: The Early Literacy Initiative, and to announce the eleven organizations receiving United Way Early Literacy Social Innovation Fund grants.  The Colorado Parent & Child Foundation received a $371,097 grant to support the expansion of HIPPY and PAT programming to serve an additional 295 children and their families in 14 Colorado Counties through the work of 8 partnering HIPPY and PAT sites.  Coverage of the event was published in The Denver Post on Thursday, March 1st
